As the world opens up again, travellers and holidaymakers are looking for short breaks just before the festive season gets well and truly underway. And November is a great month for bargain flights, with some prices costing as little as £10 to jet off somewhere new. Here’s the best locations if you’re looking for a change of scenery and a bargain this month, compared to next.

For those wanting a break, but don’t have a specific destination in mind, there are several locations to choose from which are cheaper to visit before the festive period hits.

Barcelona, £20 instead of £37

If you’ve got some holiday left to take, why not choose November 15 or 17?

There’s a two hour, 10 minute flight from London Stansted for just £20 with Ryanair.

Compare that to the £54 if you were to travel on the cheapest day in December and January.

As for what you can do when you arrive in Barcelona,  La Sagrada Família by Antonio Gaudí is the number one tourist attraction.

Lisbon, £20 instead of £40

Between November 18-24, you can arrive in Lisbon in less than three hours.

Choose to fly from London Stanstead with Ryanair for just £20.

Considering prices are around £40 just a couple of weeks later, it is the perfect time to jet off for a little trip.

One of the top actives the Lisbon Tourism Board recommends is riding on the number 28 tram.

Budapest, £10 instead of £30

Looking to get away this weekend? In two hours and 45 minutes, you could be roaming the streets of Budapest.

Again, London Stanstead is the airport offering a deal with Ryanair.

BBetween November 6-20, flights cost as little as £10.

If you wait until December or January, prices increase to £30.

When in Budapest, Andrássy Avenue – the 2,310-metre boulevard lined with buildings in varied architecture, towards the City Park – is a must-see on a Winter’s night.

Milan, £10 instead of £133

Grab a bargain and visit a popular Italian city.

Flights cost £10 if you choose to fly from London Stansted today until November 20.

If you fly on November 18, it will cost £10, but if you fly on December 18 it will cost £133 – a difference of £115.

For anyone taking a fleeting visit to Milan, the Cathedral, called Duomo di Milano in Italian, is a vast Gothic-style cathedral, located in the heart of the city.

Frankfurt, £16 instead of £88

For a real bargain this month, Frankfurt flights can cost as little as £16 – a saving of £72 compared to prices of flights on the same date in December.

There are a handful of days to fly and get the cheapest price; today, November 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 20.

Heading to Frankfurt this month? The best way to explore the old town and its most important attraction is with a guided city tour on foot.

Madrid, £20 instead of £253

For three days this month (November 13, 16 and 17), you can fly to Madrid for just £20.

Compare the price of flying on November 17 to that of December 17 and there is a whopping difference of £233.

Take the aeroplane from London Stanstead and with Ryanair you can arrive within two and a half hours.

If you’re cold and feel you need a little warming up when in Madrid, one of the top 10 attractions is the Prado Museum – one of the world’s leading art galleries.
