British Virgin Island resort Oil Nut Bay has announced a new heliport certified for international arrivals.
The service, which according to the resort is the first of its kind in the region, is available exclusively for the use of Oil Nut Bay’s owners and resort guests. The heliport has U.S. immigration clearance on-site.
The resort is only accessible by air or helicopter.
The helicopter will fly directly to St. Thomas and San Juan, as well as St. Barts, St. Maarten, Anguilla and other neighboring islands for day trips.
The helicopter seats up to eight, and pricing for a one-way helicopter flight from St. Thomas is $5,000 per trip, plus taxes and fees. From San Juan, the per-trip price starts at $11,500. The trips will be chartered by Caribbean Buzz Helicopters.
Oil Nut Bay’s villa rentals range from $650 per night for one-bedroom suites to $30,000 for six-bedroom homes. Included in the rate is a golf cart to get around the property. Guests have access to the Marina, Marina Village, Beach Club, restaurants, pools, beaches, wellness services, land activities, water sports and excursions.
